Song by my favourite musician Kobi Oz and his band Teapacks, is a poem describing a typical poverty stricken, lower class neighbourhood in the heavily bombed city of Sderot growing up in the 90s.

Illustration heavily inspired form the neighbourhoods I grew up in, Kiryat Menahchem, one of Jerusalem poorest back in the 90s and 00’s. Kobi’s description of his neighbourhood, was almost identical to my childhood environment. we would spend hours everyday playing football swap cards out in the courtyard, surrounded by empty alcoholic bottles and makeshift bongs. a regular summer afternoons with kids from block 10, playing football cards. bellow is the translated song.
